"Christianity FAQ"

The Westminster Confession of Faith (1646)  is a time tested affirmation of the beliefs of the Presbyterian Church. We also recommend the Savoy Declaration of Faith and Order (1658), which modified the Westminster Confession to reflect congregational church polity.  The following list of questions is from the document commonly known as the "Westminster Shorter Catechism". The catechism was developed as a teaching tool for the educators of the day. It was used to instruct the youth on the teachings of the Westminster Confession. Today, we might call this a "Christianity FAQ".  The questions on this page link to the "Westminster Catechism Project" as posted online by the Bible Presbyterian Church website. We've taken some liberty with the original text of the questions to enhance readability for the modern reader. It's one of our core values at Xristos to compliment and not to duplicate the good work of others in the body of Christ. Accordingly, we have linked to their answers with their permission. It's our intention to provide an even  more "contemporary" Christian FAQ in the future.

This document is available at http://www.bpc.org/wsc/index.html. Some introductory articles  Another example of an early Church FAQ or catechism is the Heidelberg Catechism (1563) which used by the Reformed Churches.
